Many years ago I started to experiment with long hand-held exposures and found that I captured glimpses of what was there but not what was seen, glimpses of distant realms not far away. This was one of the first images that I captured, it is presented as it was taken with no post exposure editing. The title, "This Spirit Cannot Fail You", refers to the feeling I get when I know that there is something to be captured with my camera but cannot see exactly what it is. I let instinct take over to frame and expose the image to reveal what is there.
